SEE
The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) 2081 is set to commence on Thursday, Chaitra 7. According to the National Examination Board (NEB), all necessary preparations for the examination have been finalized.
On the first day, students will sit for the compulsory English exam. The examination will run until Chaitra 19. A total of 514,071 students have registered to participate, though the actual attendance remains uncertain. To facilitate the examination process, 2,079 centers have been established across the nation.
Nandalal Paudel, Controller of Examinations (Grade 10) at the NEB, confirmed that answer sheets and question papers have been distributed to all districts. For compulsory subjects, distinct question papers have been prepared for each province. In the case of optional subjects, question papers have been printed in either one or two versions, depending on student enrollment numbers.
Notably, 29 students from Japan, enrolled in Nepali language schools, will also be appearing for the SEE. Their answer sheets have already been dispatched, while question papers will be sent at the time of the examination through the Nepali Embassy in Japan. The exams for these students will be administered under the supervision of the embassy.
Special Arrangements and Monitoring Measures
To ensure inclusivity, three specialized examination centers have been set up in juvenile correction centers and prisons. Additionally, stringent monitoring mechanisms have been implemented to uphold exam integrity and prevent malpractice.
Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai emphasized the ministry’s commitment to ensuring a fair examination process. She highlighted that successful execution requires cooperation from all stakeholders and asserted that any deviation from regulations will be met with strict action. She also warned that if exam integrity is compromised, the heads of Education Development and Coordination Units will be held accountable.
