Shikshak Sewa Aayog (TSC) Vacancy for Lower Secondary Teacher 2081

The Government of Nepal’s Teacher Service Commission (TSC - Shikshak Sewa Aayog), located in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, has announced an open competitive examination for the position of Lower Secondary Level Third Grade Teacher in community schools. Eligible candidates meeting the specified qualifications are invited to apply online through the Commission’s official portal at https://online.tsc.gov.np.

1. Examination Process:

(a) Written Examination (General and Subject-based)

(b) Interview

Written Examination Schedule:

  • General Examination: 2082/02/17 at 1:00 PM

  • Subject-based Examination: Date to be announced after the General Examination results

  • Interview: Date, time, and venue will be decided after the Subject-based Examination results

2. Examination Centers:

Exams will be conducted in the following districts:

  • Morang (Koshi Province)

  • Dhanusha (Madhesh Province)

  • Makwanpur (Bagmati Province)

  • Kaski (Gandaki Province)

  • Dang (Lumbini Province)

  • Surkhet (Karnali Province)

  • Kailali (Sudurpaschim Province)

If the number of applicants exceeds manageable limits, additional examination centers may be designated. Updates will be provided on the Commission’s website.

3. Application Fees:

  • NPR 700/- (An additional NPR 500/- per inclusive group)

4. Application Deadline:

  • Regular Submission: Until 2082/01/12

  • Late Submission (with double fee): Until 2082/01/19

5. Age Requirement:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 40 years as of the final application deadline. This restriction does not apply to currently serving permanent teachers.

6. Application Submission Process:

Applications must be submitted online via https://online.tsc.gov.np. Detailed submission guidelines are available on the portal.

7. Payment Methods:

Before submission, ensure all details are correct, as modifications are not allowed after payment. Payment can be made through:

  • Bank Payment: Generate a voucher from the system, print it, and pay at Rastriya Banijya Bank or Nepal Bank Limited.

  • Online Payment: Select "Pay Online" and complete the transaction via a digital wallet.

8. Application Fee Payment Deadlines:

  • Regular Fee: Generate a voucher by 11:59 PM on 2082/01/12 and pay by banking hours on 2082/01/13.

  • Double Fee: Generate a voucher by 11:59 PM on 2082/01/19 and pay by banking hours on 2082/01/20.

If the payment deadline falls on a public holiday, it can be completed the next working day.

9. Minimum Qualifications:

(a) Nepali citizenship is required. (b) Must meet eligibility criteria under Rule 10 of the Teacher Service Commission Regulation, 2057 (including amendments). (c) Completion of the Secondary Education Examination (Class 12) or equivalent with at least 200 full marks (or 8 credit hours) in a relevant subject, along with a minimum of 10 months of training in education. (d) Candidates with a Class 12, Proficiency Certificate, or equivalent degree with 200 full marks in education-related subjects are considered trained. (e) Subject-Specific Requirements:

  • Social Studies: Acceptable subjects include Economics, History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, and more.

  • Mathematics-Science: Candidates must have studied both subjects with at least 200 full marks each. (f) Must hold a permanent teaching license for the lower secondary level.

10. Required Documents:

Scanned copies (JPEG/JPG format, max 200 KB per file) of the following must be uploaded:

  • Citizenship Certificate

  • Recent Photograph

  • Sample Signature

  • Academic Transcripts

  • Training Certificate

  • Permanent Teaching License

  • Equivalency Certificate (if applicable)

Candidates are fully responsible for the accuracy of submitted documents. False or incomplete submissions will lead to disqualification.

11. Additional Documents for Inclusive Category Applicants:

(a) Indigenous/Janajati: Certification from the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act, 2058.

(b) Madhesi, Dalit, Minority Muslim, or Backward Class: Certification per Nepal Gazette notification or local authority recommendation.

(c) Persons with Disabilities: Disability ID card from the Social Welfare Council or local authority.

(d) Backward Areas: Citizenship and local authority certification of permanent residence in designated districts.

12. Key Notes for Applicants:

(a) Selection is conducted at the provincial level.

(b) Candidates can apply for only one province and one subject. Multiple applications will be disqualified.

(c) The exam process is the same for both open and inclusive categories.

(d) Subject-based exams will be conducted in Nepali or English, except for language-related subjects.

(e) Age, educational qualifications, and training deadlines are strictly based on the regular fee application deadline.

(f) Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

(g) Any false documentation will result in disqualification and legal consequences.

(h) Candidates with disabilities requiring an assistant writer must obtain approval from the Education Development and Coordination Unit.

(i) Foreign degree holders must provide an equivalency certificate.

(j) Candidates can only apply for subjects covered by their teaching license.

(k) Only candidates who pass the General Written Examination can proceed to the Subject-based Examination.

(l) Candidates must use black ink during the examination. Use of any other ink will result in answer sheet cancellation.
