Nepal Bank Limited, the first commercial bank in Nepal, has announced a job vacancy for multiple positions. The bank is inviting applications from eligible Nepali citizens for permanent recruitment through an open competition. The recruitment process is approved by the Public Service Commission, and the vacant posts are as per the approved staff positions for the fiscal year 2081/82.

How to Apply?

Applicants must submit their application online by filling in the designated form provided by Nepal Bank Limited. The following documents must be scanned and attached while submitting the application:

• Nepali citizenship certificate

• Academic transcripts and character certificate

• Equivalency certificate (for foreign degrees)

• Inclusive category certificates (if applicable)

• Experience certificates (if required for the post)

• Recently taken passport-sized photo and signature

The last date to apply is 2082/01/04, with a provision for late submission by 2082/01/11 upon payment of a double fee. Incomplete or false applications will be disqualified.

1. Available Positions & Age Limits

For women and persons with disabilities, the maximum age is 40 years. Permanent employees of the bank are exempt from age restrictions.

3. Selection Process

• Written Examination: Conducted by the Public Service Commission.

• Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the written test will be called for an interview.

• Practical Test: Required for Junior Assistant (Gold Tester).

4. Examination Fees

Fees can be paid through Nepal Bank Mobile Banking, ConnectIPS, eSewa, FonePay, or Khalti. Applicants must ensure their application status shows “Payment Successful” and “Submitted” before the deadline.

Special Instructions for Inclusive Category Applicants

Candidates applying under the inclusive category must submit relevant certificates:

• Adivasi/Janajati: Certificate from the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities.

• Madhesi: Certification from a government-approved institution.

• Dalit: Certification from the National Dalit Commission.

• Persons with Disabilities: Disability identity card or medical certificate.

• Backward Areas: Citizenship and residency proof from designated districts (Achham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, etc.).

Job Posting & Service Conditions

• Selected candidates must work in any branch assigned by the bank.

• Minimum service period:

  • Group Ka and Kha: 3 years

  • Group Ga: 4 years

  • Group Gha and Nga: 5 years

• Posting preferences for Assistants and Junior Assistants will be based on merit ranking after the written exam.
